We’re delighted to announce that Melbourne Airport have extended their long-running partnership with us here at AIRDAT. Back in 2016, AIRDAT helped Melbourne Airport to ease administrative pressure by introducing a bespoke Airside Safety System that streamlined and clarified their airport processes to ensure all safety standards and compliance measures were met. Since then, our partnership has continued to evolve and flourish and we’re proud of the connection we’ve built.

Jennifer Tumbri, AIRDAT Director, had this to say,

“When we first started working with Melbourne Airport, they required a solution to ease administrative pressure. We worked closely with their Project, Airfield and Fleet teams to find a bespoke solution that would work for them. All these years on, it’s wonderful to see that the AIRDAT systems are still working efficiently and successfully for the team in Melbourne.”

And now, as Australia opens its borders to international travel once more, Melbourne International Airport is set to become busier than ever. With a proposed runway expansion planned, it’s fair to say that senior airport staff have a lot to consider. By choosing us as their airside safety partner once again, they know they’re in safe hands.

Ruslan Verbni, Airfield Operations Trainer at Melbourne Airport had this to say:

“Melbourne Airport is delighted to announce the extension of its partnership with the supportive and diligent team at AIRDAT. This marks an important milestone in our long-term objective to set the highest training, safety and compliance standards.”

AIRDAT will continue to provide the following services:

  • ONBOARD – AIRDAT created a bespoke airside vehicle permit scheme for Melbourne Airport using the Onboard system framework. The system, which allows airport companies to submit insurance and safety management data and apply for digital permits, will continue to reduce unnecessary waste and simplify Melbourne Airport’s compliance procedures.
  • PASSPORT – Configured to map out the Melbourne training process, Passport incorporates eLearning, permit generation, management and compliance for all ADA types and Aerobridge.
  • VISA – Melbourne airport have been using AIRDAT’s VISA system to drive compliance since 2018.

Charles Cardwell, AIRDAT CEO said:

“As our first ever project in Australia, Melbourne Airport will always be a special client for us and we’re delighted to extend our contract with them. We’ll continue to oversee their training, certification and permit systems and we hope to meet and surpass their expectations for many years to come.”
