London Luton Airport is now using the AIRDAT Training Management System, allowing stakeholders to book, manage and track all Airside Driving Permit training for airside road and aprons.

Because of increasing demand as the airport enjoys growth figures of over 18% compared to last year, the airport required a system that would minimise the impact on airport assets and resources when running such schemes.

The change means that stakeholders now have 24/7 access to organise their training, with clear visibility of supply, months ahead. It also provides the airport with a complete database of training and the ability to manage points schemes & verify training records whilst out and about.

In the months ahead, the system will be tasked with other training courses, such as MADP and Runway, and use of the tools on the system expanded to help minimise administration, keeping trainer focus on content delivery, in turn helping to increase the standard of operation around the airport.

AIRDAT are also supplying on-site trainers to cover this requirement, further reducing the demand for Luton resources and allowing the airport teams to focus on their core roles.
