New Super User Dashboard and Reporting Improvements

Passport Onboard

Release Summary

Release 26.09.01 continues the rollout of role-based Passport dashboards, with a new dashboard now available for Super Users. The release also includes new reporting options, clearer document visibility and Account Credits reporting improvements across Passport and Onboard.

✨ What’s New?

Passport – Super User Dashboard

The final dashboard in our role-based Passport dashboard rollout is now available for Super Users.

The role-based dashboards bring the most relevant information and activity together in one place for each type of user. The Super User dashboard gives a clearer overview of key activity at the airport.

Passport – Assessment Category Status Report

A new Assessment Category Status report is now available under Reports > Penalties.

Authorised users can filter the report by date range and assessment category status, then export information including the user, assessment category, status applied, date added, expiry date and the user who applied the status.

Passport – Private Qualification Document Indicator

Qualification notes and documents are now clearly marked as private (hidden from the candidate and their company administrators) or public (visible to the candidate and their company administrators).

Passport – Penalty Thresholds Report for Company Admins

Company Admins can now access the Penalty Thresholds report for their own company. Penalty Admins and Super Users will continue to have access across all companies.

🔧 Bug Fixes & Improvements

Passport and Onboard – Account Credits Report

We have corrected the Account Credits report in Passport and Onboard, so account balances are now displayed accurately.

Course Scheduling Flexibility and Permit Management Improvements

Release 26.08.02 brings more flexibility to course scheduling in Passport, alongside improvements to permit reporting and vehicle permit renewals in Onboard.

💡 Customer Quick Wins

Passport – More Flexible Course Booking Times

We’ve made course scheduling more flexible. Booking times can now be selected in 5-minute intervals, rather than being limited to 15-minute intervals.

This means courses can be scheduled at times such as 09:05 or 10:10 where needed, giving training teams more choice when planning their sessions.

🔧 Bug Fixes & Improvements

Onboard – Permit Reporting

We’ve refined the Validity date range filter in the Permit Report so permits that were valid at any point during the selected period are included, giving teams a more complete view when reporting.

Onboard – Vehicle Permit Renewals

We’ve improved the document checks used during vehicle permit renewals. If a conditional answer means a document is no longer required and it is hidden from the application, it will no longer be included in the expiry check.

Release 26.08.01 focuses on a small set of improvements to dashboards, reporting and company administration. The biggest update is new default dashboards in Passport, designed to put useful information in front of users from the moment they log in and make dashboards easier to discover and use.

📊 Passport – Default Dashboards

Passport now includes default dashboards based on permissions, bringing relevant information front and centre from the moment of login and making dashboard features easier to discover and use.

Relevant dashboards are added automatically based on permissions, with a Candidate dashboard available to everyone. This provides a consistent starting point in Passport and makes key information easier to access at a glance.

🏢 Onboard – Company Archiving

Airport Reviewers can now unarchive companies directly in Onboard, making it easier to bring a previously archived company back when needed.

We’ve also updated the archive process to show how many associated users will be archived with the company, giving Airport Reviewers clearer information before making the change.

📋 Passport – Enrolments Report

Passport Superusers can now access the Enrolments Report, making it easier to keep track of enrolments in Passport.

The report has also been moved under Training Reports, with guidance explaining what the report contains and a clearer Download report option.

Version 26.07.01 introduces the reimagined and reengineered AIRDAT Visa app.

Rebuilt from the ground up on a modern platform, the new Visa app delivers a faster, smoother and more intuitive experience for airport assessors, administrators and auditors.

This major Visa update brings redesigned workflows and expanded functionality across competency testing, auditing, user checks, fleet compliance, login and account access. Whether teams are working in the office, on the airfield or moving between both, the rebuilt Visa app makes critical safety and compliance information easier to access and everyday checks easier to complete.

This is our biggest Visa update in years. The app has been rebuilt from the ground up on a modern platform, with improved performance, clearer screens and simpler navigation across mobile, tablet and web.

Competency Tests across devices – Competency Tests can now be completed across mobile and tablet, with progress saved throughout the assessment.
Easier qualification audits – Assessment Checker, formerly Advanced Audit, provides a clearer way to review qualifications across multiple users.
Clearer User Profiles – credentials, qualifications, penalties and recent assessment outcomes are now shown together in one place.
Better Fleet Profiles – permits, defects, impounds and vehicle or equipment details are now available in one modern view.
Quicker QR code checks – the new QR Code page makes it easier to scan and access a user’s work record, qualifications and compliance information.
A more connected AIRDAT experience – key information from Passport, Onboard and AIRDAT Home is easier to access directly within Visa.
Simpler login and account access – Visa now uses the AIRDAT Home login, with account settings available from within the app.
Built-in support – users can access the AIRDAT Help Centre directly from Visa.

🔍 Additional Passport Update

Separate from the Visa release, superusers can now filter the Passport People list by one or more user permissions, making it easier to find the relevant users.

Course Management Fix for Assessors

Release Summary

Version 26.07.02 is a small Passport release containing one course management fix.

📝 Course Management: Deleting Courses

We resolved an issue where some assessors with the Manage Courses permission were unable to delete courses they had created.

Assessors can now delete these courses, provided they are also an assessor for the training company delivering the course.

Usability Improvements Across Reports and Dashboards

Version 26.06.03 includes a few usability updates across reports and dashboards. These include clearer milestone status indicators and more consistent dashboard scrolling.

📋 Onboard – Application Tracker Report Improvements

The Application Tracker Report now uses amber to highlight milestones that have been accepted by AIRDAT and are still awaiting airport approval, making these items easier to identify when reviewing application progress.

Passport dashboard scrolling has been improved to provide a more consistent experience across different browser sizes and devices.

Reporting, Permit Management and Sign-In Improvements

Release Summary

Version 26.06.02 introduces improvements to reporting, permit management and administrator tools. This release includes updates to expired permit reporting and AOL holder reporting, alongside a number of usability improvements across our systems.

📊 Onboard: Expired Permit Reporting

An Expired Permits option has been added to the permit report status filter, making it easier for administrators to view expired permits.

📋 Onboard: AOL Holder Report Improvements

The AOL Holder Report has been updated so that applications still in progress are no longer included. The report will now only show valid applications that have been fully signed off.

🧪 Passport: Online Test Experience Improvements

Online testing has been updated to provide a more consistent experience when candidates scroll through questions.

🔑 Passport and Onboard: Authentication Improvements

Authentication validation settings have been updated across Passport and Onboard, helping to support a smoother sign-in experience for users.

👥 Passport – User Merge Improvements

We’ve improved the way user records are merged in Passport. When duplicate user records are combined, notes and suspension information will now be retained as part of the merge, helping preserve important user history.

📝 Onboard – Registration Application Improvements

We’ve updated the registration process so that only active applications are displayed to users when registering. Applications that are no longer live will now be filtered out, keeping the registration journey more focused.

Curriculum – Archived eLearning Booking

We have fixed an issue where archiving an eLearning qualification could prevent the course from being correctly rebooked in curriculums that share the same eLearning. When rebooking, the system now removes the link to archived eLearning results so the new booking is correctly associated with the curriculum.

Passport – eLearning Completion Redirect
The Passport eLearning completion journey has been improved. After completing an eLearning assessment, users will now be directed either to the dashboard or back to their profile enrolments, making it easier to continue with their training.

Pre-Vetting Workflow and Licence Agreement Updates

Training Curriculums Launch

We’re introducing Training Curriculums, a new Passport feature which provides trainers and administrators with the ability to group multiple training requirements into a single curriculum package. Candidates are enrolled into a curriculum and must complete each of the featured assessments to earn the curriculum qualification. This feature allows trainers and administrators to track all required training for a learning pathway and manage more complex training journeys with greater confidence and control.

🎓 Training Curriculums

Training Curriculums are now available, providing a clearer and more structured way to manage training pathways made up of multiple courses and assessments.

Curriculums support more complex training requirements by allowing training to be managed as a package rather than a series of individual assessments. This helps organisations scale training more effectively, manage the requirements collectively and maintain oversight as requirements grow.

Key benefits include:

Reduced administrative effort when managing multi-assessment training
Clear visibility of overall training progress and completion
More consistent delivery of structured training programmes

This release enables airports to begin testing curriculum based training workflows ahead of release to Production.

Test Resits

This release introduces a fully configurable Resits feature, giving trainers greater control over how assessment outcomes are managed, while creating a more supportive experience for candidates who narrowly miss the pass mark.

🔁 Flexible, Trainer-Controlled Resits
Trainers can now offer candidates a second attempt without the need to manually intervene or recreate bookings. Resits are handled seamlessly within the assessment flow, saving time while maintaining consistency and fairness.

⚙️ Assessment-Level Configuration
Resits can be tailored at the individual assessment level, allowing trainers to:

Enable or disable resits as required
Set the assessment pass mark
Define the threshold at which a resit is permitted versus an automatic fail
Configure how many resit attempts a candidate is allowed

🧠 Fair Outcomes Without Compromising Standards
This approach supports candidates who fall just short of passing, while ensuring trainers retain full control over assessment standards, rules, and final outcomes.

👤 Clearer Candidate Journey
Candidates are guided clearly through their resit experience, understanding when a resit is available and what is required to successfully complete their assessment.

🧪 Improved Test Mode Support
Resit behaviour is now accurately reflected in test mode, allowing trainers and administrators to validate assessment scenarios with confidence before going live.

🔧 Optional & Fully Adaptable
The Resits feature is entirely optional and can be configured differently for each assessment or training programme, making it suitable for a wide range of use cases. To use this feature look at for Resit toggle on the “set up” tab of your assessment.

Release Summary

Version 26.01.02 is a tiny update as we wrap up the development of Curriculums, a massive new feature coming in February. This version brings changes specifically for LTN.

✨ What’s New?

LTN Permits – CP Toggles

We’ve added a new toggle to LTN permits for Critical Part vehicle access. If the toggle is ON “CP” will show on the permit, “Non-CP” will be shown by default.

The question to determine this toggle has been added to the vehicle application.

When scanned with VISA, vehicle permits at LTN will display the CP status.

Agreement, Certificate and Airport News Improvements

📄 Certificate Defaults

We resolved an issue for RSI where some training certificates were showing old default certificates instead of the updated ones including new signatures.

📰 Airport News – Archived Items

The Airport News feature allows airports to display a message to all users at the login page of AIRDAT systems.

We recently made some changes to the feature, and noticed an unintended change that allowed archived news items to appear for some users. This is now fixed.
