AIRDAT Onboard is making life easier with airside vehicle permitting for Sydney Airport and their airside community.

Sydney Airport has joined the flurry of airports making airside compliance easy with AIRDAT systems. Over the last few months, Sydney Airport has worked closely with a dedicated AIRDAT Project Manager to configure AIRDAT’s Onboard to their specific airport needs.

In November 2017, Sydney launched AIRDAT Onboard for Airside Company Licence Applications and Airside Vehicle Permit applications. Companies wanting to operate airside at Sydney Airport must complete the Airside Operators Licence (AOL) application. The AOL consists of five easy milestone steps which capture specific information for Sydney Airport airside operations:

  • Operation
  • Insurances
  • Contracts
  • Key Contacts
  • Indemnity

A team of Sydney Airport staff will review each company milestone and either accept or reject the milestone. Or, using an in-screen dialogue box, Sydney Airport can ask further questions direct to the company and receive responses in real time.

Once a company has met all of Sydney Airport’s requirements, they can then apply for an Airside Vehicle Permit. With AIRDAT Onboard, the Airside Vehicle Permit process is as easy as 1-2-3:

  1. Add Fleet
  2. Apply and Pay
  3. Collect Permit

Furthermore, Sydney Airport will enjoy the benefits of AIRDATs innovative software. The most recent feature in Onboard was released in late 2017 whereby an airport can issue vehicle defect notices to fleet which will, in turn, notify the owner company and require them to resolve the issue. Thereby encapsulating the issue reporting life cycle.

Sydney Airports airside companies are happy with the one-stop-shop to airside vehicle permitting.

And Sydney Airport can rest assured compliance is being met and they have comprehensive visibility to the companies and vehicles operating in their airfield.
