In partnership with the Australian Airports Association and NZ Airports Association, AIRDAT sponsored the 2019 Airport Safety week and hosted the competition for an airport to win 5 iPads to make their day easier, better, safer.
AIRDAT received such an influx of applications is it clear that every airport has such dedicated people!
Applicants were asked to demonstrate how 5 iPads would make their day easier, better, safer at their airport and the AIRDAT team had the tough task of assessing each application.
AIRDAT narrowed the applications to three finalists:
- New Plymouth Airport – Linda’s application focused on empowering stakeholders and supporting “the promotion of a healthy safety culture”.
- Karratha Airport – Jaime saw iPads helping her airport “to move into the future of becoming a safer, environmentally friendly and sustainable airport”.
- Palmerston North Airport – Terry looked at airfield maintenance and felt “a picture tells a thousand words and enables the receiver to identify area being reported”.
Each finalist did an amazing job at meeting the criteria and AIRDAT struggled to decide between them. As such, AIRDAT referred the final decision to the Airport Safety Week coordinators at the Australian Airports Association.
AIRDAT was proud to award 5 iPads to Karratha Airport! Congratulations Jaime and your submission for your airport!
AIRDAT would like to thank all of the applicants for their application and congratulate them on their efforts in the 2019 Airport Safety week!
