The Manchester Airport Transformation Programme (MAN-TP) represents the most significant programme of investment ever made in Manchester Airport and will see the campus developed to provide a world class operation, with significant enhancements to current facilities and major improvements to the customer experience.

In 2020, the 10 year programme will deliver a massive extension to Terminal 2, increasing the current facility by 150% to become the main hub of the airport’s operation.

Airport operators are invited to see the new terminal in advance of opening as part of Manchester Airports Operational Readiness Activation & Transition (ORAT) activity which ensures the end-user is comfortable and competent to work in the new environment.

Operator familiarisation tours are a key part of Manchester Airport’s ORAT calendar of activities, that also include Trials & Training.

The T2 extension familiarisation tours are available to eligible operators to book through AIRDATs Passport System. The tours are lead by 14 Airport Transformation Ambassadors (ATAs) and will run from February through to June. Manchester Airport expects over 3000 colleagues will participate in the familiarisation tours.

The familiarisation tours aim to excite and enthuse colleagues about the new spaces and crucially, make sure that they are accustomed to their new surroundings so that they can give a great service to the airport’s 29million customers.

Using Passport, Manchester Airport has restricted tour bookings to specific sectors of the business to tailor the tour to the needs of the sector. The system will provide Manchester Airport with the necessary reports to ensure operators from every sector are represented and are familiar with the terminal upon opening.

AIRDAT are proud to be working with Manchester Airport, the UK’s global gateway in the North.
