AIRDAT are excited to launch the CPC Drivers First Aid training course at their Luton Airport training facility. This course provides candidates with the skills and confidence needed to administer first aid in emergency situations while on the road and counts 7 hours towards the required 35 hours training.
The 16th July 2019 marks the first of many CPC Drivers First Aid training sessions available for any companies and individuals to book using AIRDATs Passport system.

This course is approved by the Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training (JAUPT) to meet CPC Drivers training (Certificate of Professional Competence) requirements for professional drivers of large goods vehicles and passenger carrying vehicles.
Upon completion of this course, the candidate will be able to administer first aid in the following emergency situations while on the road:
- The role of the first aider
- Fainting
- Managing an emergency
- Primary survey
- Communication and casualty care
- Resuscitation (adult CPR)
- Asthma
- Safer moving and handling
- Bleeding (minor and severe)
- Shock
- Bone, muscle and joint injuries
- Spinal injuries
- Casualty management (outdoors)
- Treatment of an unresponsive casualty
- Chest pains
