CAP790 - Airside Driving Published

CAP790 Published

For most people in the UK today, Friday the 2nd of March 2012 is unlikely to particularly ‘special’ in any way. Looking outside at the chilly fog and drizzle, some might say, the day is in fact, fairly unspectacular.

For AirDAT however, and all those involved with Airside Driving in the UK, it is a BIG day – some might even say balloons and party poppers are required!

For over a year now the Civil Aviation Authority along with its consultancy panel GHOST, have been putting together a new publication that outlines how Airside Driving should be managed, and finally, today, CAP 790 was released.

We at AirDAT have read through the 34 pages and I can confirm that already both the AirDAT System and the onsite training courses provided by the company are fully compliant with the new CAP – how’s that for speed eh?? So any companies or airports utilising our services can relax and rest easy, knowing if that surprise CAA or airport audit occurs, that area of the operation will tick all the boxes.

So, for all of you who ARE touched by Airside Driving, enjoy your parties, try to hold back the tears, and here is the link to the new CAP790. Please ensure you have a read through, so you can make sure the operation you are in is compliant, and any questions – you know where we are.
