Gatwick Passenger Numbers Beat Heathrow
In an amazing turn of fortune, the newly independent London Gatwick Airport has out performed London Heathrow Airport on passenger numbers for the month of March. Although Heathrow is many times the size of Gatwick, Gatwick's Director of passenger analytics, Joe King believes that this is because there are more grass areas to view from Junction 9 of the M23, stating 'If jams do occur passengers much prefer queuing on the M23 as opposed to the M4 or M25 because of the better views.'
He also stated that the huge rise in passenger numbers may be down to the new 'flat coffee' offered at the many Costa Coffee houses situated throughout the airport - 3 shots of absolute bliss - brilliant!
